7 Aum Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a double role: a circus artist and Buddhist monk. Interestingly, Shruti Haasan will play the role of Subha Srinivasan, a scientist. The story is said to revolve around a time machine brought to India by a scientist (Shruti Haasan). The film is also being dubbed in Hindi and Telugu. Suriya will sport the look of a Buddhist monk for only 20 minutes in the film. He will appear as a Tamil prince from Kancheepuram who travels to China and becomes a well-respected monk there. Director Murugadoss has done a lot of research on the role and sources who have seen the raw version of the film are amazed with Suriya's performance.

Review: 
Finally, the wait is over as the biggest ticket of the season arrives a day prior to the festive occasion of Diwali. Produced at a whooping amount, producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has released the film across the globe with more prints. The film has been generating huge waves from Day 1 precisely for the reason that the trio combo of Ghajini team coming together.

Moreover director A.R. Murugadoss has been boasting of the fact that the film will make every Tamilian proud and it gradually raised everyone’s expectations upon the film.

Set in backdrops of 1600 years ago, the film takes us straight to the history of Boddhidharman (Suriya), a legend from Kanchipuram, who spread the philosophy of Zen, became the guru of ‘Shaolin Temple’, a medical scientist and commenced the art of martial arts in China. What happens is that such a great history is hidden that in turn trivialized so many arts that took birth from Boddhidharman.
 Cut to present generation, a group of scientists including Subha (Shruthi Haasan) are into the project of recreating ‘Boddhidharman’ by the technology of ‘RECOMBINANT DNA TECHNOLOGY’ that is a method that includes the combination of DNAs from the lineage of warriors and versatile artist. Well, a circus artist Aravind (again played by Suriya), from the lineage of Boddhidharman becomes the source of evoking the legend. But soon we have an agent from China Dong Lee (Johny Tri Nguyen) arriving to start ‘Operation Red’ that will become a major disaster to India.


Everyone here becomes puzzled about ‘Operation Red’, but they’re sure it’s gonna be a terrible disaster for everyone. But much before they would find what it is all about, the antagonist has already successfully completed ‘Operation Red’



Will the young team able to break down the operation or succumb to the culmination?
To start off with the basic concept of 7 Aum Arivu, it’s a very well known concept that every individual on this globe possesses the traits of his ancestors and there is nothing new about it. But what makes the film so special and quite unique is our hero ‘Boddhidharman’. The factual reports about him exhibited during the opening sequences of the film are colossal. But what doesn’t interest the audiences is the screenplay that becomes dull at places and almost all the proceeding become predictable. To be precise, first half of the film has a moderate tempo and the conflict begins only during post-intermission.

We bring you some sequences from the film that deserves special appreciation…

1. The point where Johny tries to hypnotize Suriya and fails.
2. The dialogue pertaining to the death of a Tamil Liberation Leader and his culmination due to betrayal.
3. The action sequences on the highway road, where the entire public crowd starts attacking Suriya and Shruthi Haasan.


Suriya has done a tremendous hard work over his physique and his action sequences are very much perfect. But it’s Johny Tri Nguyen stealing the show with his marvelous stunts. In fact, the foreign actor wins applause with his introduction scene. Shruthi Haasan looks little nervous during most of the sequences, but delivers an impressive spell in songs, especially in ‘Yella Lama’, which carries a amazing cinematography. The onscreen chemistry between Suriya and Shruthi Haasan is completely missing.

Most of the songs are nowhere closer to the film 7aum Arivu. A.R. Murugadoss has purposely added the songs to add up length. Harris Jayaraj is losing his graph over the background score in his past few films and this one doesn’t become an exception. Most of the sequences have loud and noisy background score. Anthony’s editing is crisp, especially during the action sequences…

Except the fact that A.R. Murugadoss has attempted to upgrade the status of Tamilians, there is nothing special in screenplay and overall it’s an average show.

Verdict: Has a thought provoking message, but an average treatment…

So far the movies gives an impression that something is there in store but no clue about when all that will be revealed :(

Day 85...now heroine starts chasing the hero...hmmmmm

Hero dragged to a museum by the heroine to tell him about his family heritage...

Heroine explaining an absurd theory about how hero can be strengthened by colluding the DNA of bodhidharman with the hero's...Enter the villain...

Operation Red starts...Interval...Surya performance is the only saving grace so far...Heroine is absolutely emotionless...Zero entertainment...Only a strong second half can save this film.

Though he is a martial arts expert,villain uses Drushti Vaseekaran against his opponents who start killing themselves...truly funny stuff though comedy is not intended here

A boring scene followed by yelamma song...movie moving at the same pace as the first half.


Nothing to rave about in this song...People generously treating it as a second interval...

Finally some interesting scenes...Operation Red being explained in detail.

Whole concept explained in detail with interesting scenes but overall it seems a bit silly to me personally...


Now it is the turn of Shruthi hassan to hog the limelight...

Villain searching for the hero and heroine in a separate track...nothing short of a buffoon...

Story demands the hero to underplay right now and he is underplaying dutifully :)

Great scene...absolutely stunning...spell bound...Oh God....villain tries to control the hero seeing him directly into his eyes and the hero retaliates with his eyes...Oh God

Villain calls his boss and asks him why he was not able to control the hero...very very amateurish picturization...hmmmmm

One silly scene...followed by another silly scene...making the previous look like a masterpiece...

This is a test of patience...some very very very silly scenes...

Hilarious response to a ferocious fight :)

You cant help but appreciate the director for dishing out this costly fight turned comedy sequence :)

<> REVIEW - New Yamaha R15 Version 2.0

No, there’s not more power. And it’s heavier. But it’s also better in many ways, so don’t write off the Virgin... er, Version 2.0 just yet. And yes, there’s going to be a number of jokes about that name before you can say ‘tuning forks’.




1. First off, the most important and most obvious changes - the looks. And the hot topic here will be the rear tyre which is now upsized to 130/70 - fat-tyre fans must already be going senile with joy.

2. Then there’s the all-new tail section with split seats that does more justice to the rakish front-end than the previous bike’s rather bland tail. However, that triangular LED tail-lamp somehow doesn’t look right with that sharp tail. The numberplate and indicator bracket is a neat detail, though.

        

3. The all-new aluminium swingarm mimics mainstream supersport design and is the only one of its kind on an Indian motorcycle. And yes, it looks very cool! So does the new five spoke design for the wheels. However, that rear tyre hugger/saree guard assembly is just begging to be ripped right off the motorcycle.

4. Other changes to the aesthetics include a restyled exhaust, restyled side fairing and a darker fairing visor - nice little touches, all of them

5. On to the motor, and it remains unchanged, with the same 16.76 horses pulling you along (YAMAHA SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT MORE POWER). However, they’ve made a few changes to the ECU mapping and the throttle assembly to make power delivery more linear and immediate. 6. However, kerb weight is now 136 kg, up by 4-odd kg, and try as I might, I really couldn’t tell the difference in power delivery. Perhaps, we should’ve ridden both bikes back to back to get a clearer picture. 7. But there is no doubting the fact that the updated cycle parts endow the Version 2.0 with more stability than before. The wheelbase has increased by a huge 55 mm, all thanks to the new swingarm, and flat-out 100 kph+ corners are now dealt with way more confidence than before, and the extra grip from the fatter 90/80 front and 130/70 rear tyres is hugely useable. 8. The front disc rotor is the same diameter as before, but the mounting points have been moved wider, and the overall weight distribution sees more weight on the front end. Combined with the fat rubber, these aspects make the Version 2.0 a better braking motorcycle than the older one, and that’s saying something.  9. But, as always, there is a catch - the longer wheelbase and greater tyre mass means that the Version 2.0 isn’t as eager to change direction as the older bike. It demands more effort in chicanes, and mid-corner directional changes will require a shove rather than the light nudge that the older one does. 10. While Yamaha claims that the 0-60 kph time has improved by 0.3 seconds and top speed has gone up by 3-4 kph, it’s not that much of a difference over the older one. A lighter rider on the older bike will outrun a heavier rider on the newer one. Yamaha also claims that fuel efficiency remains unchanged. We’ll wait for a real-world test to verify these claims. 11. Other changes include a redesigned clutch shaft for better feel at the lever. Other than feeling a little ‘tighter’, I suppose it should improve clutch life as well. 12. Overall, the R15 finally looks complete, comes with better kit than before and at Rs 1,07,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it still is a quality motorcycle that’s value for money. BUT IT STILL NEEDS MORE POWER! FINAL VERDICT: Not a necessary upgrade for existing r15 customers , but a true value for budding race lovers and show-off's!! also in :                                        sunset red

Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.




The glory days of boxing are behind it, in real life and on the silver screen. Modern boxers pale in comparison to the popularity of their predecessors.  Boxing movies continue to be a staple of pop culture, but they reflect on fighters of yesteryear. Boxing is a fading sport, even a faded sport. So it’s only natural to replace those sacks of flesh and bones with fight-to-the-death robots!

Real Steel is a boxing movie set in the future where men no longer fight, having been replaced by mini-Transformers who can take a beating and dish it out, too. Hugh Jackman plays a washed-up former fighter who eyes big dollars but contends beyond his robots’ capabilities, leaving him desperate for cash and tens of thousands of dollars in the red to some unsavory folks. When he’s handed his estranged 11-year-old son, however, he finds opportunity in an old sparring robot – both to realize true success and discover what really matters in life.





Aww.

Real Steel is an odd blend of the prototypical boxing movie and a family drama. Its focus is about a past-his-prime fighter that gets one last chance at glory and makes the best of it – the typical boxing drama formula – and yet it’s also sprinkled with father-son developments and other family-friendly story arcs. The movie never establishes what it wants to be, and ends up stuck in between genres.

The film is relatively entertaining. Jackman and Dakota Goyo, who plays his son Max, have good chemistry together and evoke some laughs as the two spar throughout the story. The movie’s third act is also a lot of fun as their underdog robot Atom takes on bigger and bigger adversaries, culminating in a final bout that is worthy of the boxing genre.






Unfortunately, at over two hours long, Real Steel is inconsistently paced and at times boring. Despite its simple premise, the movie has too much going on and director Shawn Levy and screenwriter John Gatins fail to blend the various elements together in a seamless way. The father-son stuff looks like it was dropped into the middle of another movie; lots of time is spent shifting between the conflicting stories.

The third act is noticeably better than the first two, but even then Levy screeches the film to a stop several times to throw some unnecessary family drama at the audience. Still, the final two fights are a lot of fun, despite the fact the fighters don’t have emotion, flesh or blood.



Real Steel is an adequately entertaining movie, but would have benefited from a shorter running time and tighter plotting. It takes a while to get going and is inconsistently paced, but it also exceeds [low] expectations and manages to be exciting when it matters.
